You are not alone! Half (if not all) of Cyprus is in the same situation! They tell you it’s the fault of the Catholic Easter, or the banks that didn’t inform, or the stupidity of the accountants and other such nonsense…
With a search on the web I know when Easter 2224 will fall, it is not the banks’ job to inform every employer in Cyprus, and the accountants are fellow workers who will also stay unpaid!
The responsibility for payroll rests exclusively with the employer! And since they “neglected it ” and we will be eating breadcrumbs for three days, you should also neglect to get back to work and stay on your break for 2-3 hours more!
Like our fellow worker at RIK (Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation), who are going on a one-hour work stoppage today because they were not paid! Solidarity greetings!
